Some of you may have heard about this comedy show we put on every other week called Stand-Up @ Stand-Up. If you've been to one, you may have seen someone taping the show, and then you may have wondered what was going to happen to that tape. I won't keep you in suspense any longer. The video is on the Internet now. On our very site, in fact. It's listed as "Videos" in the main menu. You can also link to videos of performers directly from the SU@SU pages as well.
I initially was going to call the section SucTube, but decided that might not be appropriate. I'm open to suggestions for an official name, since "Videos" is kinda boring.
You may have noticed that when we unleashed the new website, we did not include a "Live" section. We have parted ways with musical performances and have embraced comedy for the foreseeable future. In case you haven't heard, we are hosting Stand-Up @ Stand-Up every other week. SU@SU is a potpourri of local and well-known talent that is sure to have something for everyone.
Anyway, along with this, there is a new section of the site for these events, located here. Just like before, you can see upcoming shows and follow your favorite acts. Now you can leave comments and have discussions on the show and performer pages. So come to the shop every other Tuesday, have a great time, then talk about it here afterward!
I was busy today. After an excellent discussion of Scott Pilgrim Vol. 1 today at Book Club, I went back to work on the site. This new feature, appropriately, is Book Club comments.
This works just like blog comments. The only difference is that you can't leave a comment until after the Book Club meeting has started. We wouldn't want anyone ruining anything for anyone, now would we?
