Word up, our whiskered wards! Marc here with another installment of our weekly check in with you, our huddled masses. This week was another powerful step forward. With weeks left before need to have files ready to print, we've started to count down in each story what we have left to do. This is a good sign, I kid you not.

We started off the beginning of the week sending in our payment for the C2E2 convention. With the money gone folks, it's pretty much official. We'll have a table, and booth babes (i.e. our wives) and with any luck? Some fan support! We'll have tee-shirts we'll be selling online, in hopes of creating a little "Unshaven Army" on the con floor. In our wildest dreams, we'd LOVE to see about 10-12 people in Unshaven Army tee shirts, linked arm-in-arm, creating a human chain on the con floor, all to drive traffic to our booth! We'll have to discuss it as a company, but I'm sure we'll be able to offer discounts on merch or free sketches or something for those willing to wear our wares. Look out for that here in the coming weeks.

Friday was our "work night" again, and aside from a brief break to watch the end of Conan... we worked well into the night. So... where are we... lessee!

Matt inked and turned in 2 pages for Ironside. This leaves a mere 6 pages to ink , and to finish pencils on before it goes into coloring! After that, a little clean up on "the White", and he'll be con-ready!

Kyle put on his "production assistant" hat this week... scanning and stitching the 2 pages Matt turned in. He even got through flatting the first page! That leaves 3 more available for him to flat this week.

Marc was still hard at work in color land... finishing page 18, and 3/4th of 20... in Chasing Daylight. With 19, and the smidgen of 20 left to finish, lettering will begin before our next blog. Lettering should take us 1-2 weeks tops. We'll let you know!

Okeedoke all. That's the low down for this week. As always, let me make a gentle plea to find us more fans on Facebook. The more fans we have, the more likely we'll be to post some sneaky peaks at all this work we're doing! Peace out.

Hello once again true believers! Hmm, that's Stan Lee's thing... Greetings Unshaven Nation! Hmm.... nah, too DC. Howdy doo, all you crazy bearded cats! Yeah, that'll work.

It's been 7 days since we last talked, and boy what a week it's been! First thing's first:

We're going to C2E2! That's right, the Chicago Comics Entertainment Expo at McCormick Place, April 16-18... Unshaven Comics will be there at Artists' Alley... We've decided to save the debut of Disposable Razors #1 for it... so please get your tickets and come out and support us. Matt and I will be doing sketches. Kyle will be selling his little butt off. And our wives will be dressed as hot superheros. You know you want to come now, right? Please do.

So, I guess that means we have that answer, "when is the book coming out"... Well... April 16th. So, where are we in production:

Matt this week inked several more pages, and at last count, has 3 more to go total for Iron Side. This has come together as one action packed part of Disposable Razors. I'm not kidding folks. I think there's like only 3 pages where someone is being punched. Cool huh? After Matt finishes that, he'll be working on some extra pages of our crazy lil' "The White" story. He also doesn't know this, but he'll be helping out on the cover art. :)

Kyle finished the initial draft of Chasing Daylight. This week he'll be making some tweaks and edits, so for our next studio night, you better believe he'll be ready to rock.

Marc finished some layout work on the remainder of Chasing Daylight, and finished final color work on 1/2 of page 18, and on page 21. This leaves 1/2 of 18, 19, and 20! And guess what... it'll be ready for letter in by next studio night! Needless to say, we're very excited. The project it really picking up steam now!

If you haven't yet, PLEASE join as a fan of us on Facebook. Just search for "Unshaven Comics" and we come right up. We want to get to 250 fans by C2E2. Why? cause we're greedy. :)

Thanks again for reading! Questions? Write us some comments below!

Hello all! Marc here with an unshaven update for all of you. This week we got back on the horse, so-to-speak, Matt and I had a studio night on Friday evening. Suffice to say, it was a long time coming. We even took pictures for proof! Of course I haven't figured out how to load them in here just yet, but as soon as I do, well, heck, I'll post em!

So, what exactly did we accomplish since last we spoke? Well, let's break it down, one Unshaven Guy at a time.

Kyle worked on his scripting for "Chasing Daylight" this week. His goal? To add a creepy flair to the villain of the piece. Not giving away any plot here folks... but suffice to say, Kyle's making sure that the evil that lurks within our pages will haunt your nightmares for years to come. He's just pages away from finishing his second draft of final script!

Matt roughed out 3/4th of the remaining Ironside pages, including an explosive two page spread! During the studio night, Matt inked up the beginning to the final sequence of the story! Ironside is coming together quickly, and it's gonna be an action packed romp!

I finished the coloring on page 21 for Chasing Daylight, as well as began work on page 20... Not to get into too much gory detail on it, but for each page I do final color, it begins with a process setting the page up, and applying a gritty border to the panels, to enhance the "creepier" aspects of the story. I'm working backwards on these pages, since I admit I was getting fatigue working through the latter half of the book. Since there are really cool parts on the last pages, I chose to do them first. Half because I know they are harder to complete, and half because well... it's just damn fun to do the "creepy" parts, he he he he.

The last thing to update you guys on is our own schedule. Matt and I have committed to doing 1 studio night a week together. It makes things move quicker, and we really do better when working in the studio as a team. It also helps us have SOMETHING to say on this production blog! :)

So, for this week out for Kyle to finish his 2nd draft of the script, Matt to finish 1-2 pages of inks, and Marc to finish page 20 by studio day. With any luck, final coloring could actually be completed by the end of next weekend... Leaving only lettering for "Chasing Daylight"! As always, we'll keep you posted.

Also, before we go... PLEASE look us up on Facebook. We've made a fan page, and we really want to take count of those who like our work. If we reach 150 fans by the end of the week, we'll be posting some fun sketches for you all. Take care, and remember not to shave!

Hey ya'll, Marc Alan Fishman here to deliver as I promised... a weekly hello and how do you do. Or more to the point... a production update on our forthcoming book: Disposable Razors #1.

Well, I regret to inform you, our adoring fans (all 12 of you?) that this week was not one of great movement forward for the book. But, work was done, and allow me to report on it! Over New Years, we partied at the secret Unshaven Comics Lair (Matt's house.) and I was shown a handful of penciled and inked pages for Ironside. We have about 11 pages left in total that needed to be penciled, inked, scanned, and flatted. So, consider 5 of those to be ready for scanning. Hooray! On the writing homefront, Kyle delivered... well... nothing to me as far as I know. I specifically asked for the script of Chasing Daylight, pages 1-10. I got that on my desk shortly before the Christmas break, to start looking at. While Unshaven Comics is a democratic studio, I am the fascist editor when it comes to the final words that hit the page. Getting a sneak peak in at Kyle's most current draft certainly helps. Once his script is all complete, he'll be printing it out for me to look over as a whole. We'll report more on that later. In my little area, well, I admit it: I didn't do squat. I made some adjustments to Kyle's first page on Chasing Daylight... and that's about it! What else was I doing? Shopping for a house, and doing some other important things. Or I played a ton of Tetris. I forget.

Thursday (NYE) Unshaven Comics DID do some productive work, meeting with an industry legend for lunch. We're not at liberty to disclose who we wined and dined with, but suffice to say, it hopefully led to good things in our future. As we know more? You'll know more.

We hope all of you had a great New Years! This week seems to be the one where we as a populace all put our noses back down, and get our butts back in working mode. Well, the same holds true for Unshaven Comics. Tune in next week for the next update!
