1. The last few weeks have each given us a major comics launch-- on July 1 there was Captain America: Reborn and last week had Wednesday Comics #1 (I hope those of you who bought this enjoyed it by the way!). This week kicks off what might be the most anticipated comics story of the summer: DC's Blackest Night!

If you were here on Free Comic Book Day back in May, you probably picked up Blackest Night #0, which lays out the groundwork of the story: some malevolent force is bringing the dead (especially dead superheroes) back to life, creating an army whose goal is nothing less than a galactic cataclysm. This will be DC's major story for the next eight months or so, running through its own book as well as select mini-series. This is a book not to miss! And, as a bonus, if you stop in this week to pick up your copy you might just snag a promotional Black Lantern ring. Nifty! So don't forget to check out Blackest Night #1, hitting stores tomorrow!
