1. First up, just a quick reminder of what I mentioned last week -- our good friends and beloved comic creators Unshaven Comics will be hosting a workshop on comic creation at the Lansing Public Library TONIGHT at 6:00 PM, and they'd love to see you there! The library's located at 2750 Indiana Avenue, only a block off Ridge Road. You can come and check out various pages at the penciling, inking, and coloring stages and get some cool insider info.

2. This week, Bluewater Productions releases their Tribute to Michael Jackson: The King of Pop biocomic (is this a word? It should be). This book has ALREADY SOLD OUT of its first edition and is going back to press for a second printing. We expect this will be a really hot book and we'll handle it the same way we did with the earliest Obama comics -- first come, first serve! So make sure you stop by the shop tomorrow to get a copy!

3. Another reminder from last week: this Saturday is Halloween and (by strange coincidence) also happens to be our Halloween party! Come out to the shop between the hours of 4 and 9 PM on Saturday for free candy and refreshments, free comics, games, a costume contest WITH prizes, and sales throughout the store! We'll also be hosting some special guests -- a team of local webcomic creators whose project, the zombie-based webcomic Zeke is Hungry, (www.zekeishungry.com) goes live the following Monday! And remember, this event is family-friendly, so feel free to bring your little ones -- we've got plenty of free stuff for them too!
