The Short of It:
1. Holiday hours (again)
2. New website, part 2
3. New Years Eve Eve!
4. New This Wednesday
1. Here's a brief refresher from last week's newsletter on holiday changes to our schedule this week:
Wednesday, December 30: open 12-8 (NEW COMICS--kind of)
Thursday, December 31 (New Years Eve): open 12-4
Friday, January 1 (New Years Day): closed
Saturday, January 2 - Tuesday, January 5: open regular hours
Wednesday, January 6: open 12-8, regular NEW COMICS days resume on schedule
2. A few weeks ago I mentioned our excellent new website. One of its best features is that it now hosts a few comic-related blogs written by the store owners, and a few from beloved customers and creators too! Brian's posted a couple blogs, I've done one with another on the way today, and Unshaven Marc has put one up as well. You can head over to the site (www.stand-upcomics.com) to see our thoughts on various things comics-related; just click on the "blog" link on the top navigation buttons! The latest blog is also posted on the front page.
If you're so inclined, you can join the discussion! Register for an account on the new site and you can post comments on lots of different site items, including the blogs!
3. Last week I mentioned that, although the regular weekly shipment of new comics isn't coming in tomorrow, we still have new merchandise for you! DC's releasing Blackest Night #6, while Marvel's got some nifty promo items that are available TOMORROW ONLY, some of them free! Check out the list of stuff--with links to product descriptions--below! In addition to picking up some neat exclusive stuff, you might use this light week to catch up on your comic reading that the holidays seem to get in the way of.
