1. Due to a scheduling conflict, our regular monthly (Comic) Book Club meeting will be pushed up a week, meaning that we'll be meeting THIS Sunday, February 21 at 4:00 to discuss Judd Winick's Big Book of Barry Ween, Boy Genius at the Lansing Baker's Square. Come one, come all!
2. At least once a month people call us and ask us how much a table is for our comedy shows, or something similar -- because of our name, they think we're a comedy club. It's our sad task to constantly disappoint these people.
NOT ANYMORE!
Starting March 2, every other Tuesday Stand-Up Comics will host a local comedy night -- the only comedy event going on in the south burbs on a Tuesday! The night will be run by local talent Dale Z (www.dalezcomedy.com), a rising star in the Chicago comedy area and a really talented guy. Each night will feature at least four other comedians. Though I'm not ready to divulge any specific line-ups yet, we've already booked comedians who've appeared on Comedy Central and TBS as well as all over the Chicagoland area.
Each show will start at 8:00 PM. It's $5 to get in and we'll be selling super-cheap refreshments during the show. I'll announce more info on specific performers next week, but for now -- keep your Tuesdays open. This is gonna be good. For more info or booking inquiries, email Dale -- dale@dalezcomedy.com.
